We think they are wrong.
Not only can we get sober by ourselves, but in fact, the data shows that's exactly how most of us already do, when we're ready.
The treatment industry doesn't like this inconvenient fact, but we do, because it means there is hope outside the cult of meetings, sponsors, steps, and so forth.
